Entry into the New Position
Many clients come to me not seeking a new job – they’ve
landed one! They want to go over their plans for making a successful start
in the new position.
The key factors of success vary, of course, but they usually include
prioritizing bosses expectations, establishing key linkages with peers,
evaluating and gaining confidence of subordinates, and exploring the needs
of other stakeholders.
Having a formal written plan, with a time for accomplishing it, will
go a long way toward increasing confidence. I have a great deal of experience
in putting together a successful entity plan.
